DESCRIPTION

LUBEGARD® Platinum Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant is a unique 2-in-1 product that can be used as a premium automatic transmission (ATF) conditioner, or as an economical OEM ATF alternative. Platinum restores additive content to used ATF and enhances new ATF resulting in improved performance and smoother, more consistent shifting. It can be added as a protectant, or booster to *any automatic transmission fluid to eliminate torque converter (TCC) shudder, hard shifting and slippage. *Not for use in CVT transmissions and do not use in Ford vehicles manufactured before 1986 that require Type F ATF.

LUBEGARD® Platinum is engineered to raise the thermal and oxidative stability of the fluid, so when it operates at elevated temperatures, it does not thin out and pyrolyze, burn, or react with oxygen and form deposits. It is formulated with proprietary LXE® (Liquid Wax Ester) technology that has a molecular structure that allows unsurpassed transfer of heat. LXE® improves heat conductivity, suppresses foaming and, consequently, reduces transmission operating temperatures and extends fluid life. Platinum also contains our proprietary Synergol® technology. Synergol® eliminates harsh shifting while enhancing the long-term frictional stability of the ATF.

Directions for use

LUBEGARD® Platinum® Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant can be added to any ATF (except CVT, and Ford Type F [1986 and earlier models]). For normal applications, add 1 oz. (29.6 mL) of LUBEGARD® Platinum® to 1 qt. (1 L) of ATF for the total capacity of the transmission with motor idling. DO NOT OVERFILL.
